Beat Your Depression

Win Your Fight Against Depression

This article which you are about to read has been written because I personally have been in a fight against depression for many years, and at last am starting to gain the victory of this enemy. My hope and prayer is that these few comments will be a help to you.

Learning to release limiting beliefs and emotions will help you achieve peace, happiness and emotional well being. Life is for living. Every single thing happens for a reason and a purpose. There are affirmations that will help you not only discover your life purpose, but also help get you deeply connected to your spiritual self.

Did you know that each year more than 75 million Americans suffer from a common psychiatric illness such as depression or an anxiety disorder? More than 40 million Americans seek help for emotional or mental distress each year. That leaves 35 to 40 million Americans distressed or afflicted with mental illness who do not seek help for treatable problems.

It is hard to go forward when you are carrying anger from the past. Learn to release it. There is no point in holding on to those painful feelings. Consider the use of affirmations and or psychotherapy to address your mindset challenges. You can create affirmations as a specific response to what you struggle with. Affirmations can help you let go of the past and let you get on with your life.

At the end of this article I will be pointing out several places that you can go to in order to get more information, but for now please stick with me as we continue.

A self affirmation practiced repeatedly every day could help you keep a positive perspective. Here are some examples:
I can do anything with help from God.
I will not worry, no matter what comes my way today.
I am content and what I can control I can change.
I choose to remain calm and relaxed, no matter what the circumstances.
I am good person.
What they say is not what matters.

The key is to be positive with yourself, to be true to the very best that is in you, and to live your life consistent with what you want within your mind.

Take some time to think about who you are and what you believe in and what is important to you. Decide on what you want to change within yourself and accept everything else. Remember if you are happy with yourself as you really are, not as you might be or as someone else thinks you should be then know that, taking everything into consideration, you are a pretty good person.

I know that I have only just touched on this subject here, but why not give these few ideas a try, because they do work.

Also, I mentioned about being positive and believe you me I know how difficult it is to be positive when you are feeling down, but let me suggest a few positive actions you can take which will help you.

Pay a visit to your local bookstore and see what they have on the shelves on depression. Also, pay a visit to your local library and do the same. The very act of going out and conducting some research will be a help to you. Look up the internet, and see if you can find any helpful Blogs on this subject.
